Comments :In acetic acid bacteria the enzyme, which is highly specific, catalyzes the conversion of toxic acetate to acetyl-CoA (2,3). In the hydrogenosomes of some trichomonads the enzyme catalyzes the production of acetate (1). In acetic acid bacteria the enzyme, which is highly specific, catalyzes the conversion of toxic acetate to acetyl-CoA.
