The equivalent enzyme in the aerobic pathway is EC 5.4.99.61, precorrin-8X methylmutase. The enzyme catalyzes the the conversion of cobalt-precorrin-8 to cobyrinate by methyl rearrangement, a step in the anaerobic (early cobalt insertion) pathway of adenosylcobalamin biosynthesis. The equivalent enzyme in the aerobic pathway is EC 5.4.99.61.
